The defendant was accused of being the service provider allowing the publication of the statement of the Hope of Bangkok Church, which is a false statement defaming the prosecutor.  

ASTV sued Matichon back after Matichon had published the details of the earlier accusation of ASTV by Matichon .

Matichon sued Manager after the latter has published an article with the title "Matichon and the Attempt to Overthrow the Monarchy" on ISTV Manager Website and Newspapers. The complaint was filed under Defamation, Computer-related Crimes Act and  the Printing Act. The court dismissed the case.

Surapot Taweesak, philosophy academic, also known by his alias as "Nak Prachaya Chai Khob (The Fringe Philosopher)", was accused by a user called "I pad" of defaming the King after giving a comment on the Prachatai article written by Somsak Jeamteerasakul. The case is still pending at the police.

On 11 December 2007 11:45-15:30, Mr. Sulak Sivaraksa has given a speech at the old Audotorium Building on Khon Kaen University Campus in an insulting, offensive manner to the institution of monarchy. Therefore, he got charged with the Lese Majeste law. Initially, Mr. Sulak Sivaraksa has requested bail with the title of Mr. Kittibodee, the Dean at Khon Kaen University.

Former director-general of Department of Provincial Administration sued a columnist and the editor of Thairath newspaper  for defamation in the case of appointment the sheriff of Nakornnayok district.

Thai Airway public company limited filed a defamation charge against Sieng PimThai raiwan co.ltd, owner of Pim Thai newspaper. Pim Thai was sued because it published the news that might damage reputation of Thai Airway
