Case

On 22 May 2018 the group of the People who want an Election set to held political gathering at Thammasat University then march to the Government House to commemorate the 4th anniversary of 2014 coup d'etat and to call upon the head of NCPO to organize election within the year 2018. In response, the police formed the line surrounding Thammasat University since the night of 21 May to prevent an attempt march in the morning of 22 May.   

Since early morning of the 22 May, the police formed a blockade on the road in front of Thammasat University to prevent the march. Around 9 am the protester marched out the the university compound but they could not march through the blockade. The protesters and the police crashed several time without serious incident. Supporter of the protesters who fail to past  through blockade of the police gather behind the line near the National Museum and wait for further action.

Around 1 pm while Rangsiman, Piyarat and Sirawith and other organizers stuck behind the police blockade in front of Thammasat University Anon Chonthicha and  Nattha  led protesters who failed to enter to Thammasat University marched on Ratchadamnoen toward the Government House. The protesters managed to walk until Makkhawan Rangsan Bridge where the police had set up another blockade to stop them there. The police later announced that the protester need to stop there activity before 3 pm, once deadline was pasted the police surrounded the organizers of the protest with an attempt to force them to surrender. The organizers managed to read their statement publicly before surrender themselves to the police.

After 5 organizers of the protest were under the police custody, the organizers at Thammasat University including Rangsiman, Piyarat and Sirawith also announced to the protesters there that they will surrender themselves and asked the protesters to return home. Later on, the police filed accusation against 21 individuals altogether for being organizers of the protest on 22 May 2018.
