Case

On 15 October 2022, the King and the Queen were scheduled to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre for an opening ceremony. When the royal motorcade was about to depart, the police had people at the convention centre sit down. However, Atitut, who was also in that area, refused to sit down claiming he wish to stand and see. As the royal motorcade went past the convention centre, he shouted “causing trouble everywhere”. The police arrested him at the scene and took him to Lumpini Police Station. Atirut was accused of two charges, which are lèse-majesté  and resisting an officer in the due exercise of official duty. He was then detained at Lumpini Police Station. On 17 October 2022, Atirut was taken to the Bangkok South Criminal Court where the police request the court to remand him in custody pending for investigation, the court later accept the police's petition. Atirut's lawyer then filed a bail request with a 200,000 baht as bailbond. The court later release Atirut on bail in the same day.
