Case

Poenchai, a Karen ethnic minoriry from Mae Hong Sorn Province who works in Bangkok, was prosecuted under Lese Majeste at Yala Province. He was charged for posting his own video clip talking about monarchy issues and two more pictures with messages. This case a person from people's royalist group initiated the case with police from Bannangsta police station. This case therefore is tried at Yala Provincial Court.

Pornchai admitted that the video clip is posted by himself but the other two posts were not related to him and the evidences presented before the court are not admissible.
