Details of offence according to charge

Since 2009 until 11 November 2014, the accused has uploaded video clips which are voice files modified from the voice files of “Bunpot” which is an online radio programme talking about politic and other topics such as health. The accused alledgedly used the pseudonym “Muang Prang” and “Noo Maew”. The files included the false content and it was a violation of Section 14(1) (5) of Computer Crime Act 2007 and the Section 112 of Criminal Law.

Circumstance of arrest

On 13 November 2014, at dawn, the officers from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) cooperating with military officers around 20 people invaded and arrested “Kawee” at his place in Surin, seized two computers from his house and his sister’s which is located nearby. After that "Kawee" was taken to Weerawatyothin Army Camp in Surin and then was sent to be detained in military camp in Bangkok.

"Kawee" revealed that, around one day before being arrested, the internet network at his house was disconnected, so he called internet service provider which is TOT to sent officers to fix up, there was a talk between them and "Kawee" was asked about his name.

During arrest, Kawee’s sister was together with him at his house. She was also taken to Weerawat Army Camp before released at the late morning of the same day.

13 November 2014

After being arrested, "Kawee" was taken to Weerawatyothin Army Camp and then sent to be detained in Military Camp in Bangkok at the afternoon. He was detained for 7 days under the Martial Law. During detention, there was an investigation by several sections in military camp and he was taken to be investigated and to record his profile at the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) for many times.

19 November 2014

"Kawee" was taken to the Criminal Court to request for a provisional detention. The inquiry officers from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) are responsible to this case. The court approved the provisional detention so "Kawee" was sent to be detained in Bangkok Remand Prison.

January 2015

A prisoner who was imprisoned with 'Kawee' told a lawyer that 'Kawee' was released from prison. It was a release without advance notice and not with a bail order.
