Case

During Febuary 5-6, 2011, Mr. Surachai Sae-Dan, gave a public speech, containing a defamatory, insulting comment to the king, the queen and the heir apparent, at Samakkeetham Temple in Bangkok, at Samakkeetham Temple in Bangkok. Becuase Mr. Surachai plead guilty, the Court reduced the sentence by half to 2.5 year in prison. In total, compiling with five other lèse-majesté cases, Mr. Surachai would have to serve 12 years 6 months imprisonment.
